One Friday morning, little Nicole of Pro Girl decided to take a stand. She was sick of the other girls at work beating her up and taking her lunch money. She knew she was in dire need of some street cred and fast. After taking a number of different self defense classes she thought it might be a good idea to get some real threatening apparel.  Nicole is wearing RVCA black skinny pants, the ROCKY tribute tee by RDS, a white striped RDS hoodie with some ballin’ red/silver/white Creative Recreation high tops. To top it all off she’s wearing the RED LINE “GG’s” from Dragon sunglasses and riding the Santa Cruz Road Rider Flex Tech… she’s crazy. Now nobody at Pro Girl even looks in her direction unless they have something nice to say. Most of those girls make her lunches and take them to her now.

Today as Avian and I were sitting around talking politics and religion,  we decided to mix things up and just really get crazy. We got a talkin about how i’d look good  in some acid wash jeans. Luckily, we had some on hand here at the shop that are brand new for fall. But then it was all like, how can we make this cute but still GRUNGY? (Seeing how that is the new look for fall.) Well, i did it my friends. My pants are the NEW Volcom Matchstick skinnys, an Alternative Appearl ECO friendly tank, a Volcom knitted vest, the yellow NIXON Limited Edition Rubber Player and ALL white patent Creative Recreation High Tops! Avian on the other hand had to be more of the badass and went with the NEW Matix plaid shirt, NEW Volcom Matchstick jeans in grey, and the NEW Creative Recreation Disco Madras in white with plaid… with some kisses all over from all of us ladies!

Grunge and Plaid are the “look” for fall, so make sure to get some key peices and have fun with your wardrobe!

A couple weeks back we got the honour of seeing the dark stabber of concrete himself, and let me tell you, he didn’t dissapoint. Deer Man of Dark Woods is awesome, and here he is on the cover of Concrete. We actually are out of the magazine itself, but you get the idea. Its a great issue that takes you through the history of the Canadian magazine that started it all up here. It made me realize how old I am. I still back it though.

We just got some new Landyachtz in, you can surf the world on these things. Super cruisy big wheels, fast, low, steady, fast, rock solid, did I mention fast? Couple bamboo models, some drops, and the little Pocket Knife is sick!

And a couple new Loaded boards, the Pintail and the Dervish. These are amazing Bamboo boards with R-II’s and Orangatang wheels, serious cruise time!

It is nice to dream about summer on a rainy day like today so I walked around the shop and picked out a few of my favorite items that make me want to spend my pay cheque well before pay day. Lately I have been looking in my closet and thinking that I need to start buying more items that are timeless and can be worn many different ways with many different things. The top I am wearing is from WE,  a criss-cross back tank that looks great with shorts or jeans and can be worn on its own or as a layering piece. The shorts are from INSIGHT and have a packman pattern, a bit of an homage to the 80s with a 60s highwaist appeal. Its great with flip flops or the demin DC slip-on shoe with a ruffel on the toe I am wearing here. And what would summer be without a pair of shades. We received a new style of sunglass today from VZ called the Trudie that make me feel as classy and sophisticated as Jackie O! Now all I need is some sun so I skip to lunch with a friend and then off to the beach to catch some sun!
