Last Thursday was the Element Video Premier, This is My Element, the video was awesome and the turnout was great. This picture really says it all.

Also, last Saturday was the 3rd Annual Skateboard Art Auction. It went over really well and they managed to raise $6000 for the skatepark.

Thanks to everyone that contributed and/or bought a deck this weekend. You helped make another succesful show, and we raised $6000! Since we already have our skatepark you may be wondering what it will be used for. Well, the park isn’t all paid for yet, and there are still some finishing touches. So that’s where it will go, and if you haven’t seen the park, go check it out! You helped make it a reality!

The live auction was last night and awesome. Selwyn slid in on a break from his job at One World Cafe to get the crowd spending and spend they did. At closing the bid sheets totalled over $4000, with 2 days left for most of the decks. A few were sold by Selwyn in the live portion of the weekend, and most are still up for grabs. Call Argyle Fine Arts at 425 9456 to place a bid. I couldn’t name all the pics, so if there’s one you like just ask them about it, they’ll help you out.

Thursday, Go Skateboarding Day. We’re gonna skate for a bit after work, and then head to the Peel Pub on Spring Garden for the Element video premiere, This Is My Element. 1st showing at 8 (all ages), 2nd at 9ish.

Friday, 3rd Annual Skateboard Art Auction. Opens at 6 at Argyle Fine Arts on Lower Water St in Historic Properties. Live auction at 7ish, snacks, drinks, art, good times. Always some amazing art and a really good time.

Saturday, Skatepark Grand Opening. Starts at 5, live music, free food, fireworks, hot skater dudes, I mean hot skate action, should be awesome.

Sunday, Auction Closing, 4pm. This is when we cut off the bids in the silent auction and people pay up for their purchases.
